Meet Princess,
Princess is exactly as her name suggests – though in her mind, she’s not just a Princess, she’s the Queen of the ACF! Full of sparkle and sass, this clever little girl already knows how to sit and loves showing off her smarts. She’s playful, excitable, curious and oh-so-social, always ready to meet new friends and dive into her next adventure.
With her cheeky personality and friendly nature, Princess is as engaging as she is sweet. She’s happy to be handled, picked up and cuddled, but equally loves stretching her little legs to explore the world around her. Like all puppies, she’ll need ongoing training, guidance and patience to help her grow into her very best self – but with her bright spirit and confidence, she’s sure to keep life fun and full of laughter.
Dog-friendly? Yes! Princess is open to meeting other dogs - ongoing socialisation training will be a great addition to her social skills, too.
Cat-friendly? Unknown - we can't really test in this environment, so it’s up to her new family to introduce her carefully.
Kid-friendly? Absolutely! She’s open to meeting children of all ages!
Considerations:
Princess would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that she can play in it safely. She dreams of a home with toys - lots of toys! As well as daily exercise/walks to keep her body physically fit & her mind mentally fit. Treat/food puzzles are a great tool and great way to keep active puppy minds engaged!
Princess is starting to explore her surrounds & is growing in confidence each & every day. However, it would be a wise move to invest in a crate & start crate training. This type of training is not only a highly valuable skill to have but is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.
Princess should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as she is adopted. These classes & training will set her up for life and will allow her to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define her manners. These classes & training will also teach her how to appropriately interact with other dogs as well as other animals & people. These training classes will also assist her new owner, as they can both learn new skills together.
If you've got other animals at home, that's okay, just make sure that they have a gradual & supervised introduction - preferably over a few days - to ensure that they have the best chance of becoming friends for life.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
