About Poppy
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Gorgeous little Poppy is a beautiful soul with big heart, a sassy personality, and a lot of love to give.
She was well loved by his previous people but sadly they were facing some significant lifestyle changes and could no longer give Poppy the love she deserved so they reached out to us to find her a new home. She comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.
We normally expect most cats to be a bit shy when they first arrive in their new foster home, but not Poppy. She was keen to strut her stuff and seek out her new foster families attention almost as soon as she arrived.
Her beautiful personality very quickly began to shine through and she has only become more and more affectionate with each passing day.
Poppy is the type of cat that absolutely loves people and always wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. If you're working at your desk he will be on your lap, on your desk or sitting near by making sure you're getting your work right. If you're on the couch streaming your favourite show he will be right there with you and when it's time for bed he will be curled up next to you keeping you warm.
She loves a pat and a scratch and her favourite spot to sleep is curled up right under your neck.
But don't let her loving nature fool you. She's got plenty of sass and a feisty side that will come out if challenged. Poppy is not scared to stand her ground against the vacuum cleaner and while she will tolerate other cats she will happily give them a swat to show her displeasure as they walk past.
Poppy also likes to roll around in front of you and look adorable with her chunky belly on display but this is very much a case of look but don't touch. She does not like belly rubs at all.
She will also be very quick to let you know when the bickies have run out of the water is running low.
When she's not having a cuddle Poppy likes to snooze the day away in a sunny spot or on the heating vent. Like most cats she loves the heat.
We would love to find Poppy a home with an experienced cat owner who can appreciate her quirky moods and who does not have any other pets. Poppy is tolerant of other animals but you can tell that this little princess would love to have a little kingdom all to herself.
If you're looking for a super affectionate companion with a sassy personality then this is the cat for you.
Poppy is approximately 11 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
