Henry – A Sweet, Gentle Tabby Gentleman Looking for a Patient Forever Home.

Henry is a handsome 9-year-old tabby boy with a wonderfully sweet, gentle, and loving nature. He is incredibly low-maintenance and offers quiet, heartfelt companionship to those willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and secure.

Found as a frightened little kitten in his previous owner’s backyard, Henry slowly learned to trust and became a cherished member of the family. He spent many happy years there, often cuddling on his owner’s bed for long, affectionate naps. Sadly, due to changing circumstances, his family could no longer care for him and made the difficult decision to find him a loving new home.

Like many tabbies, Henry is independent and enjoys doing his own thing. He’s often content to quietly observe or relax on his own, then seek out affection when he’s in the mood. He will need time and patience to settle into a new home — it’s very likely he’ll spend the first few weeks tucked away in a safe spot like a wardrobe or quiet corner as he adjusts. During this time, he’ll happily accept gentle chin scratches and soft words.

With time, patience, and consistency, Henry will gradually come out of his shell. He’ll begin exploring his new environment and, once he feels truly at home, he’ll reward your understanding with an incredible amount of unconditional love. He loves curling up for cuddles, keeping laps warm, and rolling around adorably when he’s feeling affectionate. Many of his happiest moments in his last home were spent snuggling closely on the bed with his people.

Henry also adores the outdoors and would thrive in a home with safe outdoor access where he can laze in the sunshine or gently explore. He is very sociable with other cats and would happily share his home with a friendly feline companion.

He would be an ideal match for a calm, patient person or couple who appreciates a low-maintenance companion. Henry is loving without being demanding — the perfect gentle presence for a quiet home without young children.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
