About Tilda (Winnie)
Meet Winnie - Located in Perth
Previously known as Tilda, Winnie is returning to SAFE through no fault of her own and is now ready to start the next chapter of her journey.
Winnie is a gentle, affectionate girl who forms strong bonds with her people. She is a quiet companion who loves being close by, whether that means curling up next to you on the couch, snoozing in a sunny spot outside, or simply following you from room to room. She has a soft, timid nature and prefers to approach new people in her own time, but once she feels safe, she is incredibly loving and eager to please.
This sweet girl is low energy day to day, happy with a short walk every few days, and just as content to relax at home. She enjoys playing with her toys on her own and has a quirky talent for catching flies and bugs, which keeps her entertained. Winnie is toilet trained as long as she has access to the outdoors and enjoys having the freedom to wander out into the sunshine when she feels like it.
Winnie has lived with another dog and is generally quite uninterested in other animals, preferring to focus on her humans instead. Because she can be timid around new people and situations, she would be best suited to a calm home, ideally with older children or adults who can give her the time and reassurance she needs to settle in.
Winnie is currently in foster care with a loving family, which means we know her personality and what helps her feel comfortable. If you would like to meet her, simply send in an adoption application and we can arrange a meet and greet. SAFE animals are cared for in foster homes, not a shelter, so you can still adopt even though there is no facility to visit.
If you are looking for a gentle, loyal companion who just wants to be by your side, Winnie may be the one for you.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.
*Puppies and dogs may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
