About Tabitha
Introducing Tabitha, a sweet and sensitive soul who has been slowly building her confidence in care over the past five months. Tabitha has had a few homes that didn't work out, not because she isn't loving, but because her anxiety can be overwhelming in busy or unpredictable environments. She thrives best as an only cat, where she can feel safe and secure without the stress of other kitties around.
Her foster carer says it beautifully:
"Tabitha has been staying with me for a little over a month, and she's really starting to shine. When she first arrived, she was a little shy and preferred watching quietly from a corner. Now she's relaxed and blossomed every day when I come home, she'll peek from upstairs, make sure it's me, then softly 'meow' and trot down to greet me."
Tabitha is a cheeky little observer, curious about everything from video games to the world outside the window. She has a soft hum she makes when she wants attention and will come for cuddles "on her terms". She's not a fan of being held, but she'll happily curl up on your chest and purr you to sleep - moments of quiet trust that melt the heart.
During the day, she's calm and easygoing, soaking up sunshine and enjoying gentle pats. She isn't loud or demanding; instead, she expresses her affection subtly, in ways that show she is learning to trust and love again.
If you can give Tabitha the peaceful, loving environment she needs, you will be giving her a life she has always deserved, and gaining a gentle friend who will treasure your trust forever.
Tabitha is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
