About Castle
Meet Castle - A Gentle Soul in Search of His Forever Castle 🧡
Introducing Castle, a charming 12-year-old ginger gentleman with a heart as warm as the afternoon sun he loves to nap in. This distinguished Domestic Short Hair may be in his retirement years, but he's still full of love, purrs, and quiet companionship to offer.
Castle has lived a full life and is now looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can truly relax and enjoy his remaining time. While he does have a few age-related health issues, all he really needs is a little extra TLC and someone who understands the beauty of caring for a senior pet. In return, he'll gift you with gentle headbutts, soothing purrs, and loyal companionship whilst he sees out his golden years.
He's dreaming of a calm, child-free home with a sunny windowsill where he can watch the world go by, a cozy bed to curl up in, and someone who will cherish him for the wise, sweet soul he is. Castle doesn't ask for much - just a warm heart, a quiet space, and a human who sees the beauty in his gentle spirit.
If you're looking to fill your home with quiet love, soft pawsteps, and sun-drenched snuggles, Castle may just be the perfect addition to your life. A cat in need of true rescue by someone full of love and compassion
Come meet this golden boy and help him write the most beautiful chapter of his life yet. 🧡

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
