About Lottie
Lottie, short for Carlotta is very much the cherished showgirl in her home. Always ready to entertain and bring endless joy. Still a young girl, Lottie has the enthusiasm of a puppy when it’s show time but she is also happy to chill when it’s quiet time. She puts on her serious face whenever the camera is out but this delicious girl with her cinnamon face and chocolate swirls delights all she meets.
Lottie is in foster care with a chilled male grey. He is very patient with her shenanigans. They are both home alone while is the human is at work for about 9 hours each day. Lottie gets a good morning walk before work and can access the yard for a pee during the day. Another good walk when human gets home for work, then dinner some play and a quiet night in.
Lottie is untested as a home alone dog so may need some help being home alone without another dog for company. She loves her car rides and has learnt to jump in and out. She is a good passenger and happy to patiently stay in the car while you are at the shops.
This cheeky monkey is an absolute collector. She delights in souvenering various items specialising in shoes and TV remote controls. She loves to stealthily steal the shoe and pops it somewhere else in the house, taking great delight if she gets sprung in the act. She never chews them so its not an expensive hobby.
Lottie loves her walks and is learning to walk on lead without too much zigzagging. She is very inquisitive so makes stops for a sniff, but is also determined to greet every human she meets just to make sure they don’t miss out on a cuddle and a giggle.
Lottie loves her foster brother in the home but is still a bit wary of meeting dogs that don’t look or behave like her on her walks. She is gradually becoming more comfortable meeting new dogs but lets her foster brother lead the exchanges.
Lottie is very relaxed in the home but will need access to a yard to do her business as she is reluctant to do solid business on her walks.
Lottie sleeps on her on her own bed in the human bedroom through the night but does appreciate a Sunday morning visit to the human bed for a tickle and cuddle.
Lottie is a bundle of youthful cheekiness. Not yet your typical chilled grey but will provide entertainment to your home. She is a bit jumpy so not suitable for homes with smaller children or older folks.

Thinking about adopting?
We’d love to help you find your greyhound match!
To get started, we’ll ask for a bit of information about your home and lifestyle on our application form. This helps us make sure we match you with a dog that suits your household and sets both of you up for success.
Many greyhounds come from racing kennels where they’re used to having other dogs around. Some can struggle being left completely alone, which can lead to signs of separation anxiety like barking or chewing.
Because of this, we usually look to rehome greyhounds into homes where they’ll have company - either human or canine - and not be left alone for more than four hours on a regular basis. If that’s not your setup right now, don’t worry as we’re happy to chat about options such as dog walkers, doggy daycare, or taking your greyhound to work.
Our Adoption Checklist:
To be considered for adoption, we ask that you have:
A secure, fully fenced yard (minimum height around hip height)
A home where the dog is allowed to sleep inside at night
A routine that doesn’t leave the dog home alone regularly for long periods (more than 4 hours) without people or another dog for company
If you’re not sure whether you tick every box, please still apply! We’re happy to have a conversation and see if we have a greyhound who might be the right fit.
Please fill in as much detail as you can as there’s no word limit on any question.
