Sandy (On Trial)

Sandy is the perfect ten! this little guy is only 12 months old and has one of the most loving natures we have ever seen. He is an italian greyhound x chihuahua, a wonderful companion who just loves everyone and everything! although sandy has only been in our care for about a week, he is already a part of the family. . . . Sandy is a friendly, playful young pup who doesn't have an ounce of aggression in him. He is not food or toy possessive and loves to run around and play with his foster brother, a small maltese cross (barkley). Sandy responds to his name when he is called and is very obedient. He will sit on command, hop on his mat inside of a night time, goes out when you open the door for him, responds to "no" and will always bring back his toys during a game of fetch. Being part greyhound mix, sandy is very active and loves going for walks. He is currently being walked at least once a day which means he will need to go to a new home where he is able to be walked regularly and taken out for adventures. He also enjoys being let off the lead on an oval or enclosed area to run around and the chase the birds. Sandy would also love the opportunity to be taken to any dog parks nearby where he can meet and interact with new friends. . . . Sandy, who was reluctantly surrendered to dog rescue after his previous owner's other dog became quite sick and they could no longer look after two dogs. . . . Sandy is so photogenic and so hilarious to watch playing with his toys and our other dog we couldn't resist taking lots of photos and videos of him. Be sure to see them all at http://tinyurl. Although sandy is quite active he also loves a cuddle! he will jump up into your lap when asked and loves to nuzzle right into you for a nap. Sandy is an inside dog during the day but is happy to be outside in the backyard or in his kennel while you are away. He comes inside at night time to sit by the heater (or in your lap) before being put outside in the laundry to sleep in the bed he and his foster brother share together. Sandy is house trained and has never had any accidents inside. . . . Sandy would be the ideal dog for just about anyone. He could be an only dog but he would also be fine with another playful young dog which didn't mind spending their days wresting and playing with him. We believe that sandy would be the perfect family dog as he is not aggressive, loves meeting new people and is still a puppy -- meaning he could be trained and encouraged to really become a part of the family. . . . Our adoption fee covers the dog's desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Sandy really is a terrific dog who deserves someone to love him as much we do. He is currently in foster care in muswellbrook nsw (in the hunter valley past singleton) but is able to be brought to newcastle to be viewed during weekends.
