About Lucy Lou, the greyhound
If you are interested in Lucy Lou, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Lucy-Lou (Lulu for short) has been learning her names for only a few weeks now, discovering the joys of pet life at 9 years of age (April 2016 birthday). She is a beautiful girl who is living with three other greyhound girls. She walks beautifully on the leash, meandering nicely and she is naturally responsive to your pace. Don’t let that fool you though, she is still very keen on a zoom around the garden and is a visually and behaviourally youthful girl still.
Lucy is in excellent health but has recently had a broken leg so not up for big walks yet. In future she will be happy with a gentle stroll each day. She goes through the night without toileting, got how to use a dog door in one go, and does not jump up on you. Did we mention she is smart? Lucy is very smart and while she hasn’t had close exposure to children yet, she attentively watches them play sport from the sidelines at the oval across the road from our house. She is friendly with everyone she meets.
Lucy happily shares a bed with any of the other three grey girls. She has been quickly getting used to being left at home in greyhound company and so far has regularly been left a few hours without any issues.
Lucy previously lived in quiet country side and is adjusting to city albeit small city life well. Lucy will be happy to have another greyhound or calm medium-larger dog as her companion, it helps her feel more secure. While Lucy has had limited contact with smaller dogs, she has behaved in a curious but relaxed manner and will have continued exposure while in fostercare.
Beautiful Lucy is ready for her forever home adventure with someone who has dog experience, and happy to continue her exposure to the world and smile alongside her in her journey of firsts.
Whoever adopts her will be a very lucky person. She is affectionate, has the cutest overbite, chatters, has ears that at times meet in the middle, and she loves hard.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.

Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. She has had a broken hock, but this is all fixed and healed - just needs gentle walks atm.
