About Rip
Introducing one of the most gorgeous boys ever – RIP!
Rip is a 4 year and 1 month old Neapolitan Mastiff and has a heart as big as his body!
Rip is also officially the first-place winner (ever) of the Paw Prints Canine Rescue drooling, slobbering, and snoring competition hands down! Any Neo lover will understand
While he has mastered the above competition don’t let that be the things you remember most about him – Rip is a big baby who just loves to be around his people – he loves nothing more than going for a walk, hanging out in the backyard with his humans, watching TV or snuggling on the bed with his family
Rip is definitely a fan of the tv series - Yellowstone – he will happily join you on the couch and watch his namesake!
Rips foster mum has said he is the goofiest gentle big boy who loves a game and a toy with his fur siblings or humans.
This big boy loves attention and affection almost as much as he loves to go for walks and play with his family. Rip’s size may make him look intimidating - but as is the traits of his breed, he is a loving boy who loves to be part of whatever is going on.
Neo's are also known to be intelligent and mild mannered who love to please their family and we can see all of these traits in Rip. Rip is motivated by a verbal reward and then a treat!
He enjoys being out exploring the world and loves his walk. Rip is great to walk and happy to go at what pace you set.
Rip was adopted thru Paw Prints approximately 3 years ago but has come back into care due to a marriage breakdown. Rip can be nervous around meeting new people but give him time and his confidence grows in front of you. Rip loves having a human 'mum'. is amazing with females and gentle.
Rip loves to play with other dogs and is currently in care with two other dogs (American Staffy and American Bulldog) with no issues. Rip has been exposed happily to small breeds where he has been gentle and loving with – unfortunately he cannot always control his feet so any small breed needs to be quick on their feet as Rip has been known to accidentally put his paw on one or even accidentally near sit on one.
Rip would be happily an only dog if his humans were around more often than not and he would happily sleep near them while they worked or watched tv.
Rip is unsure around small kids, and they make him nervous - ideally, we would be looking for a home with no kids or kids over the age of 10.
Rip is not tested with cats.
Rip is easily made happy – a quick ‘hey boy’, a cuddle or especially some play time will see this giant become a small pup, whilst he thinks he is teeny tiny, we do suggest that he will need to be supervised around young kids if they are not used to big breeds.
Rip enjoys the comfort of sleeping in the house at night and is happy with a bed that fits him, or he has been known to try and squeeze into a smaller bed then you would think he could!
Rip is clever and can open glass doors with his tongue (and some slobber)
Like a lot of big breed dogs Rip energy level is he loves to have a play and then very much loves to have a snooze!
Rip odes enjoying going for a walk and is good on the lead but can be distracted by things / smells but easily corrected.
Rip is just snoozing waiting for his forever home -is that yours?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
