About Harry
Meet Harry: The Hepcat Crooner of Your Dreams
Age: 11 months | Breed: Domestic Long Hair | Color: Jet Black | Style: Impeccable
Picture this: midnight in a smoky jazz lounge, the slow burn of a menthol cigarette in the air, the clink of fine cognac in a crystal tumbler, and a velvety voice serenading the room. That voice? It belongs to Harry, an 11-month-old feline whose fur is as smooth as his sax solos and whose eyes carry the wisdom of a thousand moonlit ballads.
This jet-black heartbreaker isn't just a cat-he's a vibe. Draped in sleek long hair that practically shimmers in low light, Harry glides through a room like he owns it (because, let's be honest, he does). He doesn't meow-he croons. Every purr is a whisper of Coltrane. Every stretch, a Sinatra lyric.
Harry's ideal gig?
A distinguished family, with or without little ones, who understand the art of leisure.
A refined older human in need of a companion for quiet evenings, record spins, or whispered conversations over a snifter of brandy.
Someone who appreciates the slow burn of style over the flash of frenzy.
Don't mistake his smoothness for aloofness-Harry's all heart under that slick exterior. He'll nuzzle your neck like he's finishing a verse. He'll lounge beside you like it's the encore of a love song. And when the mood hits just right, he might even chase a feather toy like it owes him money.
So if your days are missing that low-slung groove, that velvet touch, that je ne sais paw - Harry's your cat. He's waiting in the wings, cigarette extinguished, coat brushed, ready to turn your home into the coolest joint on the block.
Step into the spotlight.
Adopt Harry.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
