About Bear & Hazel
Meet the inseparable duo, Bear and Hazel, a delightful mother-and-son who are looking for a loving home together. They adore each other and thrive on their close bond, providing double the love and companionship.
Bear, the slightly more outgoing of the two, acts as a gentle explorer, leading the pair's adventures around the home. Hazel, though initially shy, is quick to follow his lead once she feels safe. Both are generally nervous when meeting new people and in unfamiliar surroundings—a patient, understanding approach is key to helping them settle in.
This feline pair needs a patient, warm, and understanding home where they can continue to build trust with their new family. In return, Bear and Hazel will shower you with their endearing companionship and heartfelt affection. Each of them brings something unique to the table: Bear with his mild curiosity and Hazel with her gentle presence. Their personalities complement each other perfectly, creating a balanced harmony in their interactions.
Bear and Hazel are looking for a special person or family ready to work with them, understand them, and nurture their confidence. With time and patience, they will reward you with a bond that's as unbreakable as their own. Give Bear and Hazel the loving home they deserve, and watch them blossom and fill your life with double the purrs and joy.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
