About Popeye
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Popeye is a beautiful fawn pug with lots of love to give! he was surrendered by his owner as she is moving to north queensland and, as it is extremely hot there, she was worried that popeye being a pug would not cope with the heat. Popeye bonded instantly with his foster family, particularly his puppy friend pedro (a staffy x and ex-paws puppy. Pedro is a happy well adjusted adolescent and always welcomes a new dog comes into the foster home with open paws! popeye is very social and gets along with all of the dogs he meets at the local off-leash park. He comes when called and will also sit on command. Popeye is house-trained and loves snuggles with his foster carers, giving pug kisses to anyone that will let him. Popeye has had a few too many treats in his time so on vet advice has been put onto a low calorie dry food partnered with lots of walks! he is great on a lead, always remains right by your side and is a busy boy who will need a home in which he will have constant company as that is what he is used to. Popeye has a coat that will need regular brushing to minimise shedding and also high maintenance facial folds that will need to be cleaned every few days. Popeye would suit being an only dog provided he has lots of human company but another doggy friend would also be suitable. He gets along well with children which is typical of the pug breed but is a bit pushy so may be too strong for very small children and those over the age of 10 years would be more suitable. Popeye is a house dog and must always have access to indoors via a doggy door or similar. Popeye comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $400 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. If you would like more information on popeye or to arrange to meet him, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check denise's rescued dogs in foster care on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and to make sure this dog is still available for adoption. Listed 30 june
