About Inky
Inky might look like he’s had a rough start (because, well… he kind of did), but you’d never guess it from his gentle heart. Life on the streets wasn’t kind to him – he came into care a little battered and bruised – but through it all, Inky never stopped being incredibly patient and kind. Even during daily wound care, he was a total sweetheart, trusting us every step of the way.
Now that he’s safe and sound in foster care, Inky is slowly blossoming into the calm, affectionate cat he was always meant to be. He’s a quiet, humble little guy who prefers peace over drama and is happiest when he’s lounging in a cozy spot or soaking up some gentle affection. He’s not the pushy, in-your-face type – more of a quiet companion who will quietly steal your heart.
Like all Maggie's pets, Inky is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Inky’s foster setup is only temporary, so we’re also open to hearing from anyone interested in long-term fostering until his forever family comes along.
If you’re after a low-key, kind-hearted cat who just wants a safe place to call home (and a human or two to adore), Inky could be your perfect match.
Compatibility notes:
Other cats: Inky has been in foster with other adult male cats and kittens and he absolutely adores them! He does not have a mean bone in his body despite being attacked on the streets he still wants to be friends with other cats.
Dogs: Not Inky’s thing – he prefers a dog-free zone.
Kids: Older, respectful kids would be fine – Inky appreciates a bit of quiet and calm.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
FIV/FELV negative

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
