About Sumac
Meet Sumac, a big, handsome 18-month-old black cat with movie-star looks and a heart of gold-he's just still learning how to show it. As an ex-tomcat, Sumac had to be tough in his early days, but now that he's safe and cared for, he's decided smooches are actually pretty great. He can be shy at first, but once he warms up, this boy is a total sweetheart who loves leaning in for affection.
Sumac may take a little time to feel comfortable in a new home, but with patience, kindness, and a steady supply of love, he'll blossom into the affectionate companion he's meant to be. He's the kind of cat who'll surprise you by suddenly appearing for chin rubs and head bumps, showing you just how far he's come from his streetwise past.
Adopt Sumac, and you'll not only gain a striking, panther-like buddy-you'll also get the joy of watching a shy boy turn into a smoochy, loyal friend who will always be by your side.
