About Holly Jane
Holly is the perfect mix of gentle sweetness and goofy, lunatic enthusiasm! She’s reasonably calm for a 3 year old Labrador (given they never seem to grow up!), but don’t be fooled… when the zoomies strike, she’s off like a rocket and will keep you laughing with her silly antics.
Holly absolutely adores people. She’s been known to plonk herself down in the street just to wait for pats from strangers! Sometimes she does need a minute when meeting new people but she always warms up very very quickly. She’s been well-behaved around kids and babies, but needs to realise how to tone-down her bouncy, playful energy when around little ones.
Holly really enjoys playtime with other dogs of all sizes and gets on well with cats too. She’s very content with her own company too, often found lounging happily on her bed outside with a toy nearby.
She’s also a total water babe – nothing makes her happier than a swim & splash, in a clam shell, the beach, river or muddy puddle she’s not fussed as long as there’s water!
This clever girl has already learnt the basics – she’s crate trained, toilet trained, knows how to sit, politely wait for her food, and even sits at the curb when out walking. She does bark at new sounds in the backyard, but quickly settles, and while she can be a little startled in new environments, a bit of reassurance (and a tasty treat or two) has her tail wagging in no time.
She walks nicely on a head halti, but her recall is still a work in progress – so she’ll need a family willing to put in some time with training. With consistency and patience, she’s going to absolutely thrive.
If you want a beautiful, glossy black Labrador to brighten your days and warm your lap of a night, then Holly Jane is your girl!
