About Kiki
š¾ Meet Kiki ā The Sweet but fun-loving Companion š¾
Kiki is a gentle and loving nearly 1 years 3 months old Chihuahua who thrives on quiet companionship, she may be small, but her heart is full of love for the person she trusts most. She is a true homebody, happiest when snuggled up next to her favorite human on the lounge, soaking in all the love and attention she can get.
Kiki weighs 2kg and is as small as she sounds!
Kiki has come into care from a private surrender due to no fault of hers and has now had all her vet work completed and thriving.
Kiki is toilet trained, as long as sheās let outside regularly.
She prefers to stay indoors when itās raining but is comfortable using puppy pads if needed. She hasnāt used a doggy door before with some treats will probably have that sorted sooner rather than later. She is also very good at letting people know if she needs to go out.
Kiki is also familiar with being crated but would much prefer to sleep soundly in bed with her humans, often burrowing under the covers and touching her 'human'. If she gets hot, she will move up and sleep on the pillow next to her human's head.
Once Kiki is settled and confident and around her chosen human, she is energetic and needs humans, toys or other small dogs to keep her entertained she loves to play.
Barking isnāt in her natureāshe may let out a happy noise when her person comes home, but otherwise, sheās a quiet observer.
Kiki gets along well with other small dogs, particularly Chihuahua mixes like her current companions. She hasnāt been around large dogs but would likely be nervous. Kiki loves to play with other small breeds and needs a play friend!
She has been cat-tested and likes to chase them but as they are often bigger than her can end with her getting scratched. We would recommend a home with either a cat who doesn't care about a dog chasing her or no cats.
Kiki also likes to chase birds outside but ignores a budgie in the cage. Kiki also has meet cows and liked to bark at them.
Kiki would prefer a home with no children as they make her uncomfortable, while she loves to be carried around by her adult family members, she is not happy to be carried by kids. For this reason, we will ask for a home with kids over 13 years old.
Kiki likes to go for a little walk and go a good distance (for a teeny tiny Chihuahua), but when she has had enough, she will sit down and refuse to walk any further. Kiki is also very slow with her walking stopping to sniff the flowers and anything she likes (she is very inquisitive).
Kikiās favorite pastime is simply being close to her person. She loves curling up next to her human on the lounge, soaking up all the cuddles she can get.
Kiki loves to play with a squeaky toy and will throw them up in the air to catch. She also loves a good game of tug-of-war.
Sheās motivated by food, praise, and affection, always eager for a loving pat and a reassuring word. When sheās happy, she has the most adorable little smile and will give sweet doggy kisses as she snuggles in closer.
It can take Kiki a few moments to warm up to new people but is confident if her humans are around her. Once she bonds with someone, she becomes a devoted shadow, following them from room to room with unwavering loyalty.
Kiki would thrive in a home with another small breed dog to play with and run around with but also someone who is home most of the time.
Kiki loves to eat (despite her tiny size) she will happily eat her food and then other dogs' food if left!
