About Jolie
đ¶ Jolie's Personality
Jolie is a 14-week-old Kelpie X with a spark in her eye and a spring in her step. Sheâs clever, cheeky, and full of charmâlearning new tricks and words every day like the little smarty pants she is! Affectionate and playful, she wriggles and writhes in your arms like a slinky, always angling for a face lick or an ear nibble.
This little lovebug is happiest when sheâs glued to her humanâsnuggled in your lap, flopped across your chest, or curled up beside you in bed (if you let her!). Sheâs so relaxed and trusting, you can touch her anywhere and sheâll snooze right through it. Jolie is crate trained at night and when left alone, and sheâs never had an accident in her crate.
Sheâs a quick learner who already knows how to sit and drop, and sheâs obsessed with fetch and hide-and-seek chase games. Her tail never stops waggingâwe joke it might fall off from overuse! Jolie is also a curious kitchen companion, always at your feet and eager to sample bite-sized bits of strawberry, banana, pumpkin, sweet potato, peas, corn, carrot, broccoli, and cauliflower. Sheâll even help clean the plates if the dishwasherâs open and poke her nose into the cupboards like the sticky beak she is.
Jolie is outgoing, curious, and absolutely adores being the centre of attention. Whether sheâs socialising with other dogs, playing with kids and babies, or assisting in the home office, she brings joy and energy to every moment. Sheâs quiet throughout the day, but sheâll let out a big bark if someone walks pastâand a tiny squeak when she yawns, just to keep things cute.
đĄ Jolie's Ideal Forever Home
Jolie would thrive in a home where sheâs showered with love, attention, and plenty of company. Sheâd be happiest with another dog to play and bond withâespecially one who can help guide her puppy energy with gentle wisdom. Sheâs already learning to be respectful around her mature K9 foster sister, and sheâd love to continue growing in a home that offers companionship, stimulation, and lots of cuddles.
Sheâs almost toilet trained and responds well to routineâespecially when you say âGo pee peeâ and take her out after meals. Sheâs even started using the doggy door on her own for toilet breaks. Jolie is great on the lead but can get nervous around traffic and loud noises, so sheâll need gentle encouragement and patience as she builds confidence on walks.
Jolie is best suited to a family who understands the needs of a bright, active pup and is ready to embrace her zest for lifeâand her love of snuggles.
đ Jolie's Rescue Story
At just 10 weeks old, Jolie was found wandering the streetsâseverely underweight, covered in ticks, and battling a heavy burden of fleas and worms. She was handed in to a vet and came to Sweet Pea under Duty of Care so she could begin her recovery. Just days later, she developed tick paralysis and lost the use of her hind legs.
Thanks to the care of our Directors, a Vet and Vet Nurse, Jolie received intensive treatment and monitoringâand she made it through. She is now being fostered by one of our wonderful volunteers, where she continues to thrive.

She has made a full recovery from tick paralysis and shows no signs of lasting trauma. Jolie is now a healthy, happy pup ready to start her next chapter.
đ More About Jolie
Jolie recently stole the show at our Adoption Weekend at Bunnings, basking in the attention and charming everyone she met. She played with our other rescue dogs, demanded their attention with her playful antics, and soaked up every cuddle offered.
Weâre not entirely sure of her breed mix, but we suspect thereâs a dash of Jack Russell in thereâher bold attitude, boundless energy, and love of games certainly suggest it!
Jolie is a shining example of what love, care, and community can achieve. Sheâs ready to bring laughter, loyalty, and a whole lot of puppy kisses to her forever home.
Medical notes
Jolie succumbed to tick paralysis only days after arriving in our care. She received treatment for this and has made a full recovery. Despite being underweight and carrying a heavy burden of ticks, fleas, and worms when she arrived, Jolie is now a healthy and fit pup.
