About Rito
*In foster care in Wiley Park, Sydney*
Delicious food, comfy beds and loads of cuddles are a one-way ticket to Rito's heart!
Rito is bonded with his gorgeous brother Zora - https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1139795 - these boys are a team!
This super-curious and intelligent kitten is a total babe - with handsome and expressive eyes, and oversized ears that make him always appear he's thinking hard about something. He loves playing for hours with his brother Zora (dual zoomies with their favourite toys before bed is a favourite pastime!), and he also gets a kick out of creeping up on him, wiggling his little bum right before he strikes. So cute!
While he can be quietly cautious at first, Rito very quickly makes himself at home in a cosy spot on the couch, your lap, or a shelf that he claims as his bed-of-the-moment. He's an expert at finding the most random ways to sleep - often in a perfect circle or even upside down. Pick him up and put him on your chest and he's out like a light :)
Oh, and he's absolutely food-obsessed! He's always the first cat off the rank in the morning, purring like a machine in anticipation of breakfast and not stopping until he's finished eating - not only his own but sometimes part of his brother's. When we make it clear that Zora's food is off limits, the side-eye he gives is legendary! And because he's so smart, every time he gets a creamy treat he's learned that if he grabs it with his paws and bites it he gets a huge burst. He's really strong and determined for a tiny boy!

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll thrive in a calm environment where my confidence can continue to grow! I love quiet spots to relax for a nap or a window to watch the birds go by, but I equally enjoy my playtime with my brother Zora.
Right now I'm a bit of a copycat - often finding the confidence to do things exactly one day after Zora does - but I'm quite independent at heart, and a home with busy humans who are absent a lot wouldn't worry me. Another friendly feline to live with would be amazing though!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I tend to mix it up, spending long afternoons snoozing somewhere cosy before busting out the zoomies up and down the hallway! I probably lean more reserved than outgoing though - happy to sit next to you on the couch for hours on end. I'm extremely observant and I love watching your every move!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've met children and I was a little scared. If the children are old enough to understand I can't be rushed, I'll warm up. I don't like sudden movements, so any children in the home should understand this and be patient with me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Based on how much I adore my brother, I'd say - excellent for cats!
Though I'm untested with dogs, I think a dog-free home would suit me best.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
