Meet Blacka– A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Safe Place.

Blacka is a 8-year-old black Kelpie cross with a gentle nature and a big heart.

Sadly after 8 years with the one beloved owner Blacka's elderly gentleman had gone into aged care where they are not allowed to have their beloved pets.

She’s still a little on the shy side, but once she gets to know you, she’s incredibly affectionate and loves being close — cuddles are one of her favourite things.

She can be nervous in new situations and takes a bit of time to settle, so she’ll need a calm, patient home where she feels safe. She gets anxious when left alone, so she’s best suited to someone who’s home most of the time — whether you work from home, are retired, or just like having company during the day.

Blacka walks nicely on a lead and knows how to sit, but her recall needs some work. She’ll need gentle, consistent training, especially when it comes to off-lead time. She’s not super high-energy and is happy with a couple of walks and plenty of quiet time at home.

She’s fine with cats and could live with another calm dog, but she’d also be happy as the only pet. What she really needs is a home where she can relax, build trust, and be someone’s steady companion.

Blacka's past may have left her a little wary, but with the right home, she’s ready to open her heart again.

📍 Currently fostered in Rochester, Victoria, which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.

Ideally we'd like to see Blacka go to a furever home with someone who works from home or a retired couple/person who she can spend her time with whether that is at home or on holidays with you.

All CARMAR cats & canines are fostered in private homes,in the Campaspe shire area which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.
They are introduced to the comings and goings, noises, smells and environments of a normal household. They are all temperament tested, recieve basic training, are desexed, michrochipped,vaccinated,wormed, flea free.
