About Freckles
Freckle's owner has passed away
Freckles is a medium sized terrier X (under 10 kilos) with an exceptionally sweet and loving personality combined with a somewhat nervous, highly strung temperament.
Not suited to a home with children, and we don’t imagine her doing well with pocket pets. Unknown how she is with cats, but she is good with other dogs, however she would not tolerate a puppy in her face or anything like that. She is very people focussed but has been in foster care on previous occasions in a multi-dog household and so long as the other dogs give her space she is fine.
Needing a household with nervous dog experience. She can nip when frightened, which is mostly when meeting new people, so her new owner will need to be able manage this. This does not occur with every meet.
Freckles has been very loved but has led a sheltered life and did not have too much exposure to the big, bright world until recent times. She is making up for lost time now though and loves going for walks and car rides and is up for all adventures though not much of a swimmer. She has an anxious attachment style so she is very good in off leash areas, with excellent recall.
She is a very affectionate lady, loves sitting next to you on the sofa having snuggles. She especially loves home made food, and sleeping on the bed with you. You won’t hear a peep out of her all night.

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
