On Hold
About Luna
Luna is the perfect snuggly, affectionate girl. Her favourite place to be is cuddled up to you on the couch. She'll sneak up on you gradually, getting closer and closer, demanding more and more pats. The more pats she gets, the louder the purr gets!
She's a gently, affectionate soul. She loves to be close to her humans, but if her humans are busy, she will just take herself off to a cozy corner and curl up for a snooze.
She's a confident, happy girl who is great around kids and other cats. Anyone who can give her a pat is her friend. She'd really be happy in any home where she can get plenty of lap time and lots of love.
Medical notes
Luna and her siblings had ringworm when they first came to the rescue. They have been treated and the ringworm is all clear now, but you can see in the photos that the scabs are still healing on their noses and the fur needs to grow back there. Once the scabs are gone, Luna will be extra beautiful!
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
