Fleur

The magnificent Fleur has arrived in to rescue and has taken some time to show us her personality. Fleur is a natural guardian dog and when she was rescued from the pound she was terrified and shut down. She has been with her foster mum for weeks and she has finally been able to see her funny and cheeky personality coming through.

Fleur is a natural guardian which makes us think she has been with stock prior to finding herself in the pound. We can't say whether that may have been chickens, goats or sheep but she naturally protects and guards her foster family (including 3 other dogs).

Given the nature of a Maremma, we are hoping to find a family who are experienced with this breed and can give her a home where she can be exposed to guarding stock and fulfill her natural behaviour.

She has bonded to her foster mum and is cautious of any visitors or strangers, so we think a home where she is in the property more than in a domesticated home would suit her best.

Fleur is a guardian dog and needs to find her perfect home with a job for her to do every day.
