Looking for a lovable goofball with a heart of gold? Meet Bonkus - a big, energetic boy who's equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle monster.

He loves daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment (snuffle mats, kongs, and milk bottles are top-tier!), but when the day winds down, he's all about couch snuggles and being close to his people.

He can forget his size sometimes - he's just so excited to say hi! He may jump up when greeting people, so his new family should be ready to reward calm behavior and gently redirect the overly enthusiastic ones. He's very food motivated, which makes training a breeze (and also makes him extra cute when he's working for snacks!).

Due to his size and energy, a home with teens is ideal, though calm, older children may be suitable with a meet to ensure everyone is comfortable. Bonkus may enjoy living with a calm, tolerant female dog - must meet at the time of adoption.
No dog parks or off-leash beaches for this guy as he does best with slow, structured greetings.
