About Scarlett
Miss Scarlett: A Distinguished Lady in Search of Her Forever Home
"Good evening, friends, admirers, and fellow feline enthusiasts..."
After nine glorious years of dedicated service - supervising windowsills, perfecting the art of loafing, and providing unwavering companionship - I, Scarlett, am officially announcing my retirement. Yes, it's time. No more kitten games, no more chasing shadows. I am ready to trade in my career of vigilance for a life of peaceful naps, soft laps, and quiet love.
As a seasoned tortoiseshell lady, I've seen it all - the highs of a sunny afternoon and the lows of a late dinner. I've navigated the wild jungles of living rooms and scaled the mountainous heights of couches. Through it all, I've maintained my grace, charm, and (of course) a bit of that classic tortie sass.
Now, I'm not asking for much. Just a cozy, quiet home where I can enjoy my golden years in peace. I'd prefer to be your one and only - other animals are fine, but I'm not looking to share the spotlight in my retirement. I've earned this stage, darling.
I still have plenty of love to give, and while my play sessions might be more leisurely than lively, my purrs are deep, my cuddles are heartfelt, and my gaze still holds the wisdom of a life well-lived.
So, if you've got a sunny spot by the window, a soft bed, and a heart ready to adore a retired queen, I might just be the cat for you.
Here's to slow blinks, soft headbutts, and the sweet, quiet joy of growing old together.
With purrs and poise,
Scarlett
Retired Professional Beauty Queen & Couch Supervisor

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
