About Pepe *On Trial*
*pepe is currently trialling his new home* this adorable little scruffy-pup is pepe and he’s looking for a loving forever home – will it be with you???
pepe was recently rescued from our local pound where he appears to have ended up through no fault of his own. He is now in foster care where he has settled in well and his new best friends are 2 cats who he follows around until they get sick of him! pepe has also taken a shine to the household’s guinea pig who he insists on licking gently and keeping a watchful eye on. Pepe’s an energetic, healthy, friendly pup who loves playing, eating, sleeping and enjoying life!
while in care pepe is learning the basics such as “sit” and “down” as well as how to walk on a lead. He’s doing really well with his toilet training and is letting his carer know when he needs to go out by scratching at the door. At night he goes to bed inside with a little treat to chew on and doesn’t make a noise at all. Pepe does tend to gulp his food quickly so small amounts are essential and a firm “no” stops him from eating the cat’s food as well – he’s very food orientated which makes him easy to train! as he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated will make pepe very happy indeed!!
affectionate little pepe loves cuddles on the couch at night and the bonus is he doesn’t appear to lose much hair which he likes having brushed and he doesn’t mind a bath either. Pepe would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup.
