Two long-legged legends, racing straight into retirement and right onto your couch!
Ladies and gentlemen, clear the finish line and fluff up those cushions-because here come the ultimate couch champions, the midnight-hued marvels, the sultans of snooze and snack patrol: FRED & ROSE!
These two dazzling black beauties have long since traded the track for a taste of the good life, and now they're looking for a permanent spot in your home (preferably together, but hey-they know long legs can be hard to accommodate, and they're nothing if not realistic and refined).
Let's break it down:
Fred - Regal, reliable, and remarkably bendy. A certified origami armchair artist, Fred has never met a couch he couldn't conquer or a sunbeam he didn't worship. He's got that old-soul charm and a real talent for not moving unless there's food.
Rose - The queen of quiet love and kitchen patrol. Rose has a heart as big as her snoot and is always ready to check if your dinner needs pre-cleaning. She's affectionate, easygoing, and the first to find the softest spot in the house (then stare at you until you give it up).
Both are:
Dog Social - They'll mingle, sniff, and nap with the best of them.
Kid Kind - Gentle and patient and would suit a home with kids 6 years and older.
Clean Plate Club Ambassadors - No bowl left behind.
Retired, and Refined.
Fred and Rose would love to retire together, sharing gossip and naps like the seasoned pros they are. But they understand that sometimes, the perfect home comes with just one bed, not two. And that's okay too. What matters most is love, comfort, and the occasional lick of a dinner plate.
So whether you've got room for one or both of these glorious greyhounds, don't delay-Fred & Rose are rounding the final bend, and their next stop could be your living room.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
