Rayne and River are a bonded brother–sister duo whose love for each other is absolutely unshakable. They spend their days lounging, playing, and snuggling together, and their bond is something truly special to witness. Wherever one goes, the other isn’t far behind, and it’s clear they draw comfort and confidence from each other. They are looking for a forever home together where they can continue their journey side by side.
Rayne is a beautiful girl with a quiet, regal presence. She enjoys her independence and loves nothing more than curling up in her cat tower, keeping a watchful eye on her world. She is gentle and sweet, but she does not seek out pats often—affection has to be on her terms. Around new people, Rayne will retreat until she feels safe again, but with time and patience, she does begin to open her heart. She is a true princess at heart, and once you’ve earned her trust, she rewards you with her calm companionship.
River is her curious and clever brother. Like Rayne, he is shy and will retreat from strangers, but given enough time—and plenty of patience—he will begin to show his softer, affectionate side. River is very smart, playful, and quick to learn. He enjoys brushing against your legs when he feels brave, loves crunchy treats, and has even figured out how to “answer” doors. With Rayne by his side, he grows in courage, and together they bring out the best in each other.
Rayne and River are not lap cats, and they will not adjust overnight. Both will need lots of time to truly settle in and feel safe, but for the right home their trust will be the most rewarding gift. Their ideal family is one with a calm environment, gentle routines, and people who understand the beauty of letting cats blossom at their own pace. They are great with other cats, and both are unbothered by dogs.

Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
