About Richard
🐾 Meet Richard - A Star in the Making! 🐾
18-Month-Old Domestic Short Hair Tabby - Male
Yes, his name is Richard - and sure, that might sound like the kind of guy you'd meet at your local coffee shop or call to fix your sink. But this Richard? This is no ordinary cat.
This Richard is a showstopper.
A feline phenomenon.
An 18-month-old Tabby boy with the soul of a jazz singer, the charisma of a movie star, and the sass of a Broadway diva.
Vocals? Oh, he's got them. Richard sings like he's auditioning for American Idol, and honestly, we're not sure the judges would be ready for him. His vocal range is impressive, from soft trills to dramatic meows - especially when it's dinner time or he's ready for the spotlight (aka your attention).
Acting chops? Emmy-worthy. Whether he's pretending he hasn't been fed in days (nice try, Richard), or dramatically flopping over for belly rubs, this cat is an entertainer through and through.
But it's not all glitz and glamour. Richard is also a sweet, loving boy with a magical presence - the kind of cat that makes people say, "Wow, there's just something about him." He bonds with his humans, loves to be involved in daily life, and adds charm to any room he enters.
Richard would do best in a home with children aged 6 or older - he's got a lot of personality, and little ones might not quite be ready for his star power. He could live happily in almost any home setting, from a cozy apartment to a family house with a backyard view.
Could he live with another cat? Sure - as long as they're ready to accept that they're now supporting cast.
Dogs? Richard would be delighted to boss one around. No autographs, please.
So if you're looking for a cat who's equal parts companion and performer, who'll serenade you, charm your guests, and run the show (with you as his beloved co-star), look no further.
Richard is ready for his forever stage. Could your home be his spotlight?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
