NOTE: You are unable to meet Astro until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Astro in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• I am a puppy, so I WILL bite, chew things, toilet inside, bark & cry and be destructive. It is up to you to train these behaviours out of me. Please don’t apply for me if you are not willing to put in the effort to train me to grow up to be a well behaved and social dog.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• A doggy friend would be nice but isn’t a necessity. I just need some training so I can adjust to being alone and happy and not bark. I’m only a pup you know.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• SOCIALISATION is as important as training a puppy. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I grow into a social and well adjusted dog.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• Being a young puppy I will adapt & learn easily, how I mature will only be a reflection of you & my upbringing

My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• I walk well on lead for a young doggo but having daily walks should help me improve my lead skills

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I love my food so using it as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone – I’m only a pup, I need to learn that it’s ok to be left alone. Enrichment and training would be a huge help for me.
