About DJ
This guy is an absolute delight - he’s the kind of dog who makes your day better. He’s a beautiful-natured, easy companion with a big goofy grin and the sweetest little happy hops when you come home. His foster parents absolutely adore him!
DJ (or Gordo, or BigMoo… he responds to a variety of nick names) is a giant teddy bear. He’s not huge, but definitely on the larger side of medium, with a bit of extra chonk he’s shedding quickly thanks to a light diet and a bit of exercise. He’s incredibly relaxed and low maintenance, happy to nap the day away while you’re out, then soak up all the cuddles when you’re home. He settles quickly into new environments and is super easy to live with.
He’s fully house trained, great inside and outside, and will happily sleep wherever you put his bed. He doesn’t chew, dig, or cause trouble. He rarely barks, only a soft woof if someone new arrives at the door. DJ loves his walks, enjoys the water, and does great in the car, making him an easy companion for adventures or tagging along on your errands, get together as (he’s very relaxed in a crowd), or whatever you’re up to. He has great recall, and never strays far anyway — the complete opposite of an escape artist. You definitely don’t need a big fence for this guy, he’s a complete homebody who just wants to be near his people or in his bed.
He’s been testing beautifully around crowds, dogs, and kids, and seems completely unbothered by cats, birds, and even kangaroos. Nothing much fazes him. He loves treats so is very easy to train. His foster carers get lots of compliments on his behaviour wherever they take him. It’s just his nature!
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, go-with-the-flow best friend who will quietly slot into your life and brighten your day every single time you walk through the door, this guy is your perfect match.
