Introducing our sweet and sensitive Wolfhound, Fleur!

This sweet lady is looking for a loving home where she can get all the cuddles and treats she could ever imagine.

Fleur came into the shelter as a stray, and though we saw her super sweet nature, she showed fear towards people and her environment. But with patience and gentle encouragement, she slowly came out of her shell and began to enjoy interacting with people and exploring new areas!

While Fleur is still working on her confidence, she will need an adults-only home with adopters who can give her the time and space she needs to get settled in her new home. As she is still gaining confidence it is best if all members of the household are present for the meet and greet.

She can also be quite sensitive to loud noises, though her confidence with this is also improving; it will be best for Fleur to have a relatively quiet household so she can continue to gain her confidence.

In addition to building confidence, Fleur would love to continue some positive reinforcement training to perfect her tricks and skills and become the smartest doggo on the block! Her love of treats will be a big help with this, as she'll do just about anything for a snack!

She may like to have the company of another dog in her home to help her feel more comfortable. If you already have another dog at home, please bring them to a meet and greet with Fleur so we can ensure a good match! She isn't the biggest fan of cats though, so will need to go to a feline free home.

Even though Fleur has had a rough start to life and still needs plenty of work to continue building confidence, she's already come such a long way and is enjoying some pats and cuddles with some of the staff around the shelter.
