About Toby
**** To apply for Toby please complete the Adoption Enquiry Form on our website at www.animalrescue.org.au ****
Meet Toby, a sweet and loving canine companion who's ready to embark on a journey of growth and affection with a patient and nurturing new family. Despite a challenging start, Toby is blossoming into a devoted and affectionate friend, eager to share snug moments on the couch with his trusted humans.
Toby is an enthusiastic explorer who loves going for walks and showing off his playful side with joyous zoomies and fun-filled games of chase. While he's still mastering his leash manners, his enthusiasm for life's little adventures shines through. Toby's foster carers have noted his progress and are confident in his potential. He does need gentle guidance when it comes to distinguishing which things he should chew. His courage and talent for discovery make him an endearing, loyal dog.
Toby is fine with other dogs but can be a bit shy when meeting new people or pets, so a slow and gentle introduction is best. While he hasn't been tested with cats, his tendency to chase birds suggests supervision may be necessary in any new feline friendships. Loud noises and sudden movements startle him, so he would thrive in a home without small children or excessive activity.
If you're looking for a gentle soul to shower with love and a home filled with kind encouragement, Toby is ready to grow, learn, and fill your life with warmth. All he asks in return is patience and the promise of endless cuddles; he's sure to repay you with unwavering loyalty and unending affection!
Toby is a Dachshund X, and about 15kgs.
He desexed, microchipped, and C5 vaccinated.
Toby's ideal home:
- patient and affectionate human/s
- preferably no kids
- a secure yard
- someone who will help him to be the best he can be with training and lots of love
- must sleep inside with his family
