Buddy

Buddy is an adorable and delightful gentleman who's making strides every day toward embracing the love and comfort of a caring home. His journey from a more reserved pup to one who's slowly finding his courage is beautifully heartwarming, and he's sure to bring joy and warmth to any home blessed to have him. While he may be a little shy at first, he's a smart and observant little guy who picks up on the routines and interactions of his doggy housemates, eager to join in on the fun.

Toilet trained to perfection provided he has access to a doggy door and the company of a canine buddy, Buddy thrives in the presence of another dog. Buddy is incredibly inquisitive and always taking cues from the dogs around him. Whether it's observing their play or trying to edge closer to get a pat, he's curious and ready to learn. He will only be rehomed with another gentle dog already in the home.

Buddy's heart is steadily warming to the idea of human affection, and he has no problem curling up at the foot of the bed for a cozy nap. Though he isn't yet fully comfortable with harnesses or leads, he finds great delight in slow walks and outdoor exploration, especially if he's alongside a fur companion. However, make no mistake; he knows how to make a quick retreat inside if he loses sight of his furry leader.

Food is one of Buddy's great joys, and he loves his treats enough to muster up a little dance. He's even gotten brave enough to come closer for hand-delivered snacks! A slow eater by nature, he needs a quiet space to enjoy his meals without interruption but stands back gracefully if his friends try to join in. Remarkably sweet, Buddy exhibits no aggression whatsoever and rarely barks, preferring to wag his tail in quiet contentment.

Buddy would do well in a warm, patient home with at least one dog companion. He is ready to spread warmth and joy as he continues his brave journey into becoming the loving and brave dog he's meant to be.
