Meet Buttercup – a social, adventurous, and affectionate cuddle bug who’s ready to fill your home with purrs, head bumps, and a whole lot of love. With his big personality and even bigger heart, Buttercup thrives on connection. He’s never shy about letting you know what he wants (spoiler: it’s usually pats, kisses, or dinner time!) and will happily march over, headfirst, demanding cuddles like the love sponge he is.
Buttercup is the ultimate social butterfly – he adores meeting new people and is as brave as he is friendly. Whether it’s a stranger offering a gentle pat or a familiar face settling in for snuggles, Buttercup takes it all in stride. His cheeky, curious nature makes him an easy companion for just about anyone, and he’s not one to hide away when there’s fun or affection to be had.
Playful and adventurous, Buttercup slots in beautifully with other cats and wouldn’t mind sharing his home with a feline (or even canine) friend. He balances his bursts of playtime with epic naps tucked away in cozy spots, making him an easy companion for a household that enjoys both fun and downtime. With his fun-loving, social personality, he’s well-suited to a variety of homes—whether it’s with young people, retirees, or anyone who spends plenty of time at home to soak up his love.

We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!

When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
