About Zara
Introducing Zara, a bonzer little girl with a cheeky personality and a real zest for life. This girl loves the company of people who she keeps amused with her antics - a real bobby dazzler.
Zara also loves other dogs, particularly those who will join her in bouts of play. She is currently fostered with two other dogs, male and female, and gets along well with them both. In fact, one dog was quite shut down when he arrived in care and didn’t want to interact with other dogs. But Zara persisted in inviting him to play and now he loves to engage in play with the other two.
Zara was born on 09/06/24 so is she still young but is fully grown. She is a small dog (less than 5kgs) and has the physical features of both a Dachshund and Jack Russell. Her body shape is similar to a Dachshund but her colouring, personality and agility are pure JR; she can effortlessly jump on a chair, couch or bed (if allowed) to be close to her people.
Zara sleeps soundly all night and is not a fussy eater. She is an active dog and loves going for walks, fetching her small tennis ball, doing zoomies and exploring her environment. But she equally adores sitting on your lap and getting belly rubs. Zara is particularly suited to a home with another dog and/or someone who is home most of the time.
Although she loves being outside with people and other dogs, Zara is predominantly an inside dog; she is not one to be left alone in the yard for long periods; she needs to be included in family life as she is very gregarious and loves pleasing her people. In summary, this little girl is affectionate, engaging and playful - a marvellous little companion dog.
