Meet Athena - an absolute darling with a gentle heart and a deep love for her people - and her food! Mealtime is one of her favourite moments of the day, and her love of treats makes her eager to learn and participate in fun enrichment activities like snuffle mats and easy training games.

Despite a rocky start in life, Athena's spirit is soft and loving. She adores affection, quality time, and gentle pats, and she blossoms when she feels safe and supported. New environments and unfamiliar people can make her a little unsure, and she can become worried when left alone. For this reason, Athena is looking for a family that can offer her time, patience, and understanding while she builds her confidence and finds her feet in a new home.

Loud noises - especially those coming from outside - can startle her, so a calm and stable environment will help her feel most at ease. Athena has previously lived alongside a cat in a home that allowed both animals their own space, and she may do well in a similar setup with proper introductions and management.

She's also dog social, preferring calm, respectful canine friends who understand her need for space. Overly playful or boisterous dogs can be a bit much for her, and she may communicate this with a growl. Any dogs in the home must meet Athena before adoption to ensure a good fit.

Athena would suit a home with calm, respectful children who are kind and gentle in their approach. She'll need to meet all family members at the time of adoption so she can begin building those all-important bonds right away
