About Nigella
Gentle | Resilient | Inspirational | Affectionate
Meet Nigella, a kind, gentle and very resilient short-coated female Border Collie, born on 1 November 2024 so still a pup. She weighs 19 kgs.
Nigella is a champion when it comes to overcoming adversity. She arrived in care with a chemical burn on her back and, although now healed, her coat may never grow back properly. However, her spirits remain intact. She radiates warmth and enthusiasm and has shaken off any emotional scars of her ill treatment.
One of Nigella's endearing traits is her ability to fit in anywhere. She's an adaptable girl who gets along well with other dogs and thrives in a loving environment.
She's making impressive progress in learning to walk on a lead. She's as smart as a whip and keen to learn, qualities that make her highly trainable.
She's had no exposure to children or cats since being in care, but she has a sweet and gentle temperament.
Nigella loves to entertain her humans with her amazing zoomies. After wearing herself out, she's happy to unwind with a long nap in the sun.
Don't let Nigella's past scars deter you from considering her as an addition to your home. We have so much respect for her. She is honestly a beacon of hope and happiness in this harsh world and will bring loyalty and laughter to her new family.

Nigella arrived in care with a chemical burn to her back. It has healed, but her coat in the affected area may never return to its former glory. Emotionally, she appears to have completed recovered, too.
