About Willow
Please meet Miss Willow, a stunning Merle staghound mix with a placid and affectionate temperament. She would make a loyal and loving family or companion dog.
She was born on 22 November 2024 and weighed 23 kgs on 22 July 2025.
Having spent most of her short life on a chain, Willow has some catching-up to do, but she’s clever, eager to learn, highly trainable AND she is very keen to please her human carer.
She is in the early stages of learning to walk on a lead and generally explore the world beyond her previous confines. Her foster home is a farm with so much to explore and see.
Speaking of “see”, Willow is a sight hound with amazing vision and a body made for speed. Her favourite part of the day is zoomie time, where she dashes around with her canine buddies before settling in for a long snooze in a sunny spot. Although she loves other dogs, she is not suited to a home with cats. As a young sight hound, the temptation to chase a running cat would be irresistible for her.
Willow has a very gentle disposition, which makes her generally good with children, but her size is something to consider around very young kids.
She is a little timid at first meeting, a legacy of her past life, but warms up beautifully with a little time and a gentle approach. She absolutely loves humans and will devote herself entirely to her new family.
Willow is seeking a home where she can flourish and be an integral part of a loving household. Secure fencing is essential to keep her safe.
