About Nick
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- are at home more than away
- or a medium/large doggie companion if you work full-time
Nick is a gentle and charming brindle boy. And just like his sister Nina, he loves cuddles and staying close to his human. He is a shy boy, cautious until he gets to know and trust you.
Nick is currently in foster as an only dog, but he has been fostered with other greyhounds and is a delightful boy gaining confidence from the other dogs. He loves his walks either alone or with his greyhound buddies. He walks beautifully on the lead but can be startled by sudden loud noises and pull forward. He is very responsive to redirection and reassurance if needed.
He pays little attention to other dogs or people when out walking. He has come a long way dealing with traffic and is no longer bothered by trucks, cars or motorbikes passing by.
Nick is toilet trained. He goes out at about 10pm and then sleeps until 8-9am.
He has not shown any interest in sleeping on human beds but does like to sleep in his bed beside you at night.
Of course, young NickLUVS his food. He travels well in the car but still needs to work on getting into the car.
He has not shown any real interest in toys but has been known to show a fascination in the remote control or any knitting lying around!
He does the odd zoomie and mad dash around the backyard but much prefers the comfort of indoors and his bed!
This lovely boy can be left alone for several hours and will greet you with great enthusiasm when you return.
He is very comfortable around other greyhounds and would be an excellent buddy to another grey.
His ideal home would be one with another greyhound but he would also enjoy being a solo dog with someone who is home more often than not.
Nick is a lovebug. He will become your best buddy once he gets to know and trust you.
He is a happy, loyal and calm boy. With patience and time the real Nick will shine through and be your perfect companion.
