About Mia
Meet Miss Mia,
Mia is a 4 1/2 year old Pure Bred Shihtzu. Mia had a pretty rough start to life, she spent the better half of four years locked away, used for breeding and wasnt shown any love or attention.
Mia has spent a few months at the Waggy Tails Sanctuary, rehabilitating, learning how to find the joy in life. Mia has come leaps and bounds. She is quite the character, she loves a cuddle and a game of hide and seek. When excited she will kick her back legs and smile at you.
As Mia has had a bit of a rough start she can sit back and watch and take her time with humans. She loves the other dogs at the sanctuary but would love a family of her own to show her all of their full attention.
Mia will need to find her forever family with no small children. She does prefer the company of older people with a soft nature. She will love to accompany her human to a local coffee shop to stop for admiration and pats along the way, and enjoy a puppychino or a share plate of the finer things in life.

Mia is microchipped, fully vaccinated and receives regular worming. She is desexed and fed a high quality diet.

What does this mean?
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal will then take place. You must bring advise Waggy Tails if you are bringing your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption.
3. You will need to provide details of your dogs full vaccination status prior to bringing to the Sanctuary.
4. Waggy Tails does not offer trial period for puppies under the age of 6 months who are adopted out. Please ensure you are ready to adopt now. Waggy Tails will do their best to ensure you and your new dog are a good match.
3. Mircrochip transfer takes place after 7 days. Please note this may take up to 4 weeks dependent on microchip paperwork. If for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to Waggy Tails the Adoption fee may be refunded minus an admin fee (Minimum $500).
5. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work UNTIL date of adoption. Inclusive of vaccinations, monthly worming and flea treatment. New owners are responsible for keeping preventatives current at their cost from date of adoption.
