About Tawna
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
I am cuddly and smoochy and enjoy lots of attention.
I am accustomed to wearing a jacket for the cold and wet days.
I am inquisitive and love to follow you around and learning new things.
I am becoming more confident in socialising and playing with humans and other dogs.
I am calm, gentle and sensible, responds to commands and walk well on the lead.
I am loyal, affectionate and responsive to my owner and reserved towards strangers.
I am very highly trainable via positive feedback and food reward.
During my initial health check it was noted I have an atypical wide rear gate. I have full range of movement, experience no pain and there is no neurological rational. I was originally underweight and am finding this condition is responding to better nutrition and weight gain to normalise. It has not effected my daily activities. The vet has recommended an x-ray at time of de-sexing to further review for diagnostic clarification.
My Ideal Home:
I need a secure yard, daily walks and exercise. I love to have plenty of toys to play with and a new owner that can commit to ongoing training time. This will result in me becoming a well balanced social dog with good manners that will ensure I am your loyal companion.
I can live with other dogs or I would also thrive as your one and only doggo!
What is Known About My Background:
I was left in the pound drop box during the night with my brother without knowledge of why or exactly where we came from. I am such a cool little fellow I don't know what went wrong to end up in this situation. The amazing staff at the pound recognised my potential and immediately arranged for HAR to collect me and help me find a new home.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I am initially a little reserved, however friendly towards people including well behaved children once I feel safe. At my current foster home I am living with my brother, 2 early teen children and five chickens. I am loving the interactions I have with my fostering family. I have not met a cat yet so I don't know what that would be like. I am pretty chill around the chickens at the moment, I do not get fixated or aggressive towards them through the fence. I love saying hello to other dogs that pass by the front gate.
