Meet Maldives! Maldives had a rough start to life, coming from a mass hoarder house situation. Despite this, she is an extremely happy and friendly girl. Her tail never stops wagging and face never stops smiling, for anyone! Maldives is looking for an active home where she can shower all her affection on – she promises endless kisses. In typical collie fashion, Maldives will literally parkour it for human attention.

Before coming into care, she lived with 60+ other doggies and now has 2 resident dogs in her foster home, this means Maldives is thoroughly dependent on other dogs. She copies and follows them with everything they do, including their naughty traits. This means her ideal home would include a resident doggy playmate / mentor. Maldives foster home has many cats and kittens. She has shown absolutely no interest in associating with them, therefore would be absolutely fine with a dog friendly cat in her new home.

Because of Maldives past, she had absolutely no training prior to coming into care. She has since learnt to sit on command and working on basic manners, however sometimes still jumps for attention and counter surfs nonchalantly. Therefore dog savvy children and understanding humans are best! She will require a dedicated family to help continue her obedience training, which should be good fun as she is extremely smart and easily trainable. Maldives is still learning the crate isn't a scary place and until she understands this, she would much rather sleep on a doggy bed, or with you.

Maldives has so much love to give her future home. She just needs an understanding and guiding family to show her the good side to life. Could this forever family be with you?
