About Jess
Meet Jess, our little angel and bundle of joy who lights up any room with her sweet, energetic presence. She's full of life and isn't shy when it comes to showing her affection; she loves to sit beside you on the couch for some pats, though she's not one for lap-snuggling. As this delightful girl becomes more comfortable in her surroundings, her playful nature really starts to shine through, revealing the loving personality that makes her so special.
Jess is a quiet companion who enjoys the company of both young and old dogs and is always eager to meet new people. Although cautious at first, she warms up quickly and will follow you from room to room, proving that she cherishes being part of the family. One of Jess's favorite pastimes is lounging in the sun or nestled in a pile of soft cushions.
An ideal home for Jess would be one where she's surrounded by company, whether it's a fellow furry friend or a caring human who won't leave her alone for long periods. Jess thrives on companionship, and a family that enjoys daily walks where she can stop to smell the world around her would be perfect. With her quiet demeanour, the absence of barking sets her apart, and she's already toilet trained and sleeps through the night, ensuring a peaceful household routine.
Jess occasionally feels uneasy when people approach too quickly or when she's on a walk, preferring to pause and allow unfamiliar dogs and people to pass by at her own pace. While she isn't comfortable being held just yet, she's making steady progress in learning to relax in such situations.
In every way, Jess has proven to be a bundle of joyful energy, ready to bring love and happiness to a new family that appreciates her charming quirks. If you're looking for a friendly dog who loves daily adventures and a cozy nap in the sun, Jess is eager to join your home and your heart.
Medical notes
Jess has a low grade 2–3 luxating patella in both knees. While this may predispose her to arthritis later in life, she currently shows no clinical signs or symptoms. A joint supplement such as Antinol Rapid would be beneficial.
Her vet recommends regular walks and play to keep her lean and muscular. It is essential that she does not become overweight and that she avoids high-impact activities such as agility or jumping.
She may use ramps or small steps, but should not be allowed to jump off furniture or use long flights of stairs.
