Ruby

Miss Ruby-roo AKA snuggle monster is one of the gentlest souls I've ever come across. She has a pure heart of gold and absolutely adores her humans. She was severely underweight and clearly neglected when she arrived into care, but that hasn't stopped her from thriving and making the most of this new stage in her life.

She is now looking like a healthy 10 month old rottie should and getting a chance to do all the puppy activities she missed out on. It is pretty clear she hadn't had any socialising with other dogs, or experienced any toys, play time, walking on lead, or training in general. She now has a perfect sit, and fantastic recall. She's always looking to you for reassurance and is highly responsive to positive reinforcement and treats. She walks beautifully on a harness, although she still gets very excited at the start of her walks.

She has slowly been introduced to our other dogs, getting on really well with our older (4yo) male dog of a similar size, but a little unsure of the two younger ones who are much higher energy. She has met sheep and horses with really positive interactions, and she's met cats through the window with no reactivity.

Ruby would love to join a family where she can be included in everything, and she deserves to be showered with love and attention. She would benefit from having an older, well adjusted furry sibling, but she would also do well as an only dog with a committed family who will continue her training, socialising, and taking her on adventures."You are welcome to call Sue at Iron Dog Rescue on 0437010492 for any questions about the dogs or our adoption process.
