Yip is a bright, affectionate 12-year-old boy with a zest for life and a keen sense of adventure. He is pure joy to be around, soaking up all the love and affection available to him. Yip is clever, energetic, and always ready for a walk. His glossy coat and sparkling eyes reflect the care and love he’s received—and the joy he now carries. Yip is deeply bonded to Yap, his lifelong mate, and won’t go far without him. If Yap lags behind, Yip will bark until he’s back by his side. He’s playful, loyal, and full of beans!

🏡 Ideal Forever Home
Yip would thrive in a peaceful home with a secure yard, gentle routines, and someone who understands the beauty of second chances. He must be adopted with Yap—they’re a bonded pair who find comfort and confidence in each other. A quiet household with lots of love and soft places to rest would be perfect.

🛟 Rescue Story
We believe Yip and Yap had the same owner their entire lives, until he sadly had to go into care. Their gentle natures and trusting personalities suggest they were always treated with kindness and love. Sadly, we rescued Yip from the pound at Cobar. His nose bears the scars of that past, but his spirit is unbroken. Thanks to Sweet Pea’s care team, Yip is now healthy, happy, and ready to begin a new chapter, with Yap by his side.

🩺 Medical History
Yip’s nose shows permanent scarring from past infections and trauma, but this is now fully healed, and he's thriving. He also has some arthritis in his hips, perhaps from a previous injury, and is receiving treatment for this. Yip has received veterinary care, a nutritious diet, and plenty of TLC. He is a happy and easy-going boy.

Yip is an incredibly loving and gentle soul. He looks deeply into your eyes and only asks for gentle affection and love. He walks beautifully on lead and doesn’t jump up. He will bring so much joy and love to any home. He’s available for meet-and-greets every Thursday at Sweet Pea’s Paws 4 an Hour from 10:30–11:30 am. Adoption fee $450.
