About Diesel
š¾ Meet Diesel ā Your Big Bundle of Love and Fun! š¾
Diesel is searching for his forever homeāone filled with fun, play, and plenty of cuddles.
Heās a big, affectionate boy with just a few extra ācuddle kilosā that can be managed with regular exercise and consistent training.
Diesel is friendly with other dogs, though he tends to charge in for play like a freight traināhe simply assumes everyone wants to join in!
His recall still needs work when distractions are around, as he has the attention span of a happy puppy.
Diesel is:
* Crate trained ā sleeps soundly in his crate at night.
* A great traveller ā rides calmly in the car.
* Stock aware ā interested but not overly reactive.
* Good with dog-savvy kids ā but due to his size and enthusiasm, homes with small children arenāt ideal unless supervised.
Diesel would thrive with a family committed to ongoing trainingāparticularly in self-control, impulse management, and the basics.
He already knows sit and wait, so the foundations are there for you to build on and turn him into a true champion of a family member.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
ā¢ real estate approval if renting
ā¢ any fencing repairs that may need to be done
ā¢ outside shelter
ā¢ breed knowledge
ā¢ do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we donāt have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
