About Sultan
Meet Sultan - Your Loyal, Loving King 🐾👑
Sultan is a stunning 4-year-old Rottweiler with a stoic presence, a big heart, and a whole lot of love to give. Weighing in at around 40kg, this handsome boy is looking for a forever home with experienced, confident owners who understand and appreciate the Rottweiler breed.
Sultan thrives with structure and consistency. He'll bond deeply with those who are committed to training, setting boundaries, and creating a secure, respectful relationship. Once instilled, you'll have a devoted companion for life.
As the name suggests, Sultan prefers to rule solo - and although dog social, he must be the only dog in the home. He does best in an environment where he's the centre of attention
We're seeking an active, adult-only home (teenagers 13+ considered) with people who are physically capable and emotionally prepared to give Sultan the leadership, care, and exercise he needs. He's strong, smart, and needs mental and physical engagement to truly thrive.
The Essentials:
Breed experience required
Must be the only dog
No children under 13
Committed, fit, and confident owners only
Appointment required to meet Sultan
Sultan isn't just looking for any home - he's looking for the right one. If you're ready to welcome royalty into your life and give Sultan the loyal, loving home he deserves, we'd love to hear from you.
Meetings are by appointment only. Contact us to arrange a visit with this incredible boy. BARC 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
