About Ares
Meet Ares! Ares is a handsome young boy who was adopted as a kitten but has found himself back in our care—through no fault of his own. Ares can be shy at first and tends to run from loud noises or too much commotion. He’s not the kind of cat who’ll be the life of the party right away, but with time and patience, his sweet personality shines through. Once he feels safe, he enjoys quiet companionship and gentle affection. He would do best in a calm, quiet home, perhaps with older children who understand he may need space at times. Ares has been around other cats and dogs before and gets along well with both, so a friendly companion could be a good fit. Ares is looking for someone who will be patient with him, give him time to adjust, and love him for who he is. If you believe in second chances and have a calm home full of kindness, Ares might just be your perfect match! Ares will need to remain indoors to keep him safe from outdoor dangers and protect our wildlife. If you would like to meet Ares, please speak with the friendly staff at PETstock at Tuggerah!

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
