Meet Eggshell,
Eggshell is a gentle little soul with a heart full of warmth. She’s the perfect choice for first-time cat owners and is happy to settle into just about any kind of household. Eggshell has a soft and friendly nature, and while she might be a little shy at first, give her a moment or two and she’ll be by your side like you’ve known each other forever. Interaction with Eggshell gets her purring and you'll have a hard time getting her to stop - she loves any attention that you can give her.
She carries herself with a quiet sort of confidence and has a real knack for making friends – with both people and other cats. Eggshell adores affection and will happily soak up your pats and cuddles. While she’s not the type to bounce off the walls with energy, bring out a feather toy or wand toy and you'll see her playful side shine through.
Eggshell is open to meet kids of any age. She is fine to be picked up, carried and cuddles and adores any and all attention. She loves to be patted and touched - she enjoys head scratches and will head bunt into your hand for more.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Eggshell would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners. She appears concerned with the noises they make.
As for cats, Eggshell seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Eggshell has already experienced living on the streets and she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible. However, she would also be open to the idea of a catio/cat enclosure as she does like to explore - at least with an enclosure she won't go wandering off...
Eggshell has low-range energy levels and is not interested in toys or playing - however a feather/wand toy will spark her interest and she'll happily dance around her condo chasing after it.
Eggshell is not fussy with her food and she won't say no to a treat or two either. Food is the way to her heart as it makes her very happy! She'll even stop to eat mid play session.
Staff Comments: Eggshell is a very sweet cat and she just wants attention and love. She appears to love other cats and she is best to be an indoor only cat or could be happy in a catio/cat enclosure as she likes to go for a stroll and explore.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
